Ingredients:

3 Tbs. butter
2 cups flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. bk. powder
1 tsp. vanilla x
1 cup almond or other nut
1 egg yolk, 1Tbs. milk

Beat butter w/mixer til soft. Add 1 cup flour, sugar, eggs, powder and vanilla. Beat til combined. Stir in other flour and nuts. Divide in half. Shape each into 9” log, 2” wide. Put on greased sheet. Brush w/yolk and milk. Bake @375 for 25 minutes. Cool on sheet 1 hour. Cut diagonally ½ “ slices. Lay on side and bake @ 325 for 8 minutes each side.
